How to back-up SPDs?:

EGARA has been specifically engineered to operate as a fully coordinated system with its NEW dedicated back-up solution, the SSD (SPD Specific Disconnector).

The problem: In conventional installations, the surge protection device (SPD) must be coordinated with a generic upstream protection device. Incorrect selection may lead to premature tripping, loss of service continuity, or uncertainty about the actual status of the protection.

The CPT solution: The EGARA (SPD) and its Specific Disconnector (SSD) have been designed to work together to ensure correct overvoltage and overcurrent protection performance. The result is a safer, more compact solution that is easier to select for today’s electrical panels.
