1984

ElectroMechanica (Pty) Ltd is established in Johannesburg Sole agency for Lovato motor control switchgear and Finder relays

1985

Move to new premises to accommodate expanded product range, including control, signalling, electronic timing and monitoring devices

1986

Move to larger premises after introduction of load-break, fuse, time, and float switches, and a range of wiring accessories

1990

Official KwaZulu-Natal independent branch opens

1991

Entry into power factor market. Components include reactive control relays, switching devices and fuse protection. Local assembly of power factor capacitors and complete systems starts Alpes Technologies capacitors now enhance the power factor range Crane controls, limit and foot switches, photo and proximity switches introduced to the range

1992

Electrodev established – design, develop and manufacture electronic timing, counting, control and monitoring devices

1993

Circuit breakers introduced to product range. Exclusive agent for Hager modular circuit breakers, earth leakages, timers, control devices, enclosures and distribution boards

1994

Independent Cape Town branch opens

1997

Continual introduction of new products, including fusegear, leads to move of Johannesburg office to first purpose-built premises

Generator controls, including changeover switches, gen-set controllers, battery chargers and other gen-set components introduced. High quality fuse and changeover switches from Socomec further enhance the range

2000

Electrodev introduces modular range of DIN rail mount products (to match standard MCBs)

Industrial multi-pin plugs and sockets, switch sockets and enclosures already added to range

2006

Introduction of Delta Electronics automation products

2008

Johannesburg office moves to larger purpose-built premises

25 year anniversary

2010

Proud to supply Moses Mabhiba Stadium with Hager enclosures, Scame industrial sockets and Delta drives.

2011

KZN office moves to larger purpose-built premises in Riverhorse Valley.
